Illegal-content notice process

23 July 2026

This channel is available to any person or organisation, whether or not they have a Readendar account.

Submit a sufficiently precise notice

Email hello@readendar.com with the subject Illegal content notice and include:

  1. the exact public URL, club, poll or content identifier and enough information to locate the material;
  2. a clear explanation of why you believe it is illegal, including the relevant law or right where reasonably possible;
  3. supporting facts or evidence;
  4. your name and email address; and
  5. a statement that you genuinely and in good faith believe the information in the notice is accurate and complete.

For notices concerning offences involving child sexual abuse, exploitation or certain other protected situations, identifying details are not required where the applicable law allows anonymity. Do not send illegal imagery by email; provide the location and description.

This dedicated email channel is the operational electronic notice route and is monitored by the restricted moderation workflow.

What happens next

We acknowledge the notice without undue delay when contact details are available. We assess the specific item, context and applicable law, and may request clarification. We may disable access urgently where needed to prevent serious harm or comply with law.

We communicate the outcome and available redress to the reporter, and—where legally permitted—to the affected user. Affected users may contest a decision by replying to the notice or emailing hello@readendar.com with the decision reference and reasons. A different reviewer will handle the appeal where practicable.

We preserve notices and decisions for the period described in the Privacy policy. We may forward information to a competent authority where legally required. This process does not replace contacting law enforcement, a court or another competent authority.
